Vet Move: Jon Rahm Smashes A Shot Into The Water, Starts Blaming The 'Fucking Drones' Flying Around The Course Always Screwing Him Up
Golf. But LOUDER! Look, I love this move from Jon Rahm. It's simple really, when you're playing golf, no matter how good you are or not, you're never going to blame yourself for a double cross or a bad shot. Catch it fat? Ground was a little soupy. Ball into the water? Obviously you blame the drones or your feet slipped. Only reasonable explanation for a 9-iron coming up 25 yards short. Plus, this is just a vet move from Rahm. Not sure who really is breaking down Hatton's win in Nashville, but now you have the out. Everyone can say well, maybe Rahm would have done something if it wasn't for those goddamn drones.
Now, yeah, obviously when you're one of the best golfers in the world the smallest thing can throw you off. Pro golfers are probably the most routine-based athletes in the world. Every single shot has to be the same routine, the silence, all that stuff. I never really got it. I mean, sure, a yell in the backswing will fuck you up and make you jump, but people who need complete silence and can't even golf with some music playing never made sense to me.
I'll give LIV credit for this though - they have more hot mic action than anyone else. I enjoy it. Let me hear these professionals sound like me and my idiot friends after bad shots. I want to hear the anger, it makes me like and appreciate these guys way more.
